The Texas Women's Summit

It’s Time. It’s time to forget “I am not ready yet,” and the subtle cultural expectations of women to be accommodating, deferential and unassertive. Join hundreds of other women, who have already broken barriers, in nourishing your mind, extending your network, and becoming a woman of influence.

A mountain of issues faces professional women—some internal, some external—but together we can summit it . . . we can “lean in,” learning from each other’s experiences and preparing the way for each other. Learn practical tips and tricks for breaking internal and external barriers, while building bonds with other professionals.

The Texas Women’s Summit will tackle the challenging topic of women on corporate boards and help you prepare yourself, your mentees, your sponsors, and other women to serve.
  • According to Deloitte’s 2017 analysis of 7,000 companies in 60 countries, women held 15% of all boards seats. In the U.S. that figure is 21%.
  • Companies with fewer women on their boards have more governance-related controversies.
  • Companies with diverse boards have lower volatility, better performance, and invest more in R&D.

What You'll Learn

Part I:

Internal issues like finding your passion, finding and nourishing your network

Part II:
